The Cold licks are a power trio from prague [CZE].
The leader of the band is the artist Jonas Ledecky, who put the group together to have a place to vent his guitar solos. He had known Honza Heřman for a long time (back when he was the bassist of the band Doctor Victor). Honza had the only condition under which he would play with Jonas, and that was to put Zdeněk Puchmelter behind the drums. Right after the first rehearsal, it was clear that he knew why. Honza Heřman currently plays in Janek Ledecký's band and Zdeněk Puchmeltr in Marta Jandová's band.
The songs of The Cold Licks are composed by Jonas Ledecky and the lyrics are written by John Riley, who with Jonáš created the Pussycat Assassins comic series for Playboy magazine.
In 2023, The Cold Licks won the international band competition Blues Aperitiv.

Leadrem kapely je výtvarník Jonáš Ledecký, který dal skupinu dohromady, aby měl kde ventilovat svá kytarová sóla. Honzu Heřmana znal už delší dobu (ještě když působil jako básák kapely Doctor Victor). Honza měl jedinou podmínku, za které bude s Jonášem hrát, a to, že za bicí posadí Zdeňka Puchmeltra. Hned po první zkoušce bylo jasné, že věděl proč. Honza Heřman v současné době hraje v kapele Janka Ledeckého a Zdeněk Puchmeltr v kapele Marty Jandové.
Písničky The Cold Licks skládá Jonáš Ledecký a texty k nim píše John Riley, který s Jonášem vytvářel komiksovou sérii Pussycat Assassins do magazínu Playboy.
V roce 2023 The Cold Licks vyhráli mezinárodní soutěž kapel Blues Aperitiv.
